The Dogcast Podcast is created and hosted by Lowell Brown, founder of the TorontoBarks.com website.
Lowell Brown, owner of Toronto based web site design company, Insight Design, is a professional web designer with more than 9 years experience in the web and graphic design field.
Lowell created the Toronto Barks web site to achieve two goals. The first, to allow GTA residents with a way to interact with one another and discuss issues relating to dogs and dog related services in Toronto. Lowell identified a need for pet owners to learn about various local dog products and services available in and around the city. Lowell chose to use his experience and knowledge about online community web sites to create a way for area residents to share their stories and experiences online with one another.
The second goal was to create an effective way for Toronto pet businesses to actively promote, sell and market their products and services to a target audience actively looking for their services. With this site pet business owners can reach their customers and potential customers through an interactive and informative online community.
In building the TorontoBarks site, Lowell realized there was a media component that would be a great addition, a podcast. One of the closest similar types of interview based shows is a television show called Animal House Calls which is a a weekly CityNews TV show. With the Dogcast Podcast dog owners will be able to stream, download or subscribe to an audio show. The benefit of the podcast format is that users can choose to listen to it when they want and as frequently as they want.
New episodes of The Dogcast Podcast will be posted each month and can be streamed of this site or is available via subcription through iTunes and various other podcast directories.
